Over 500 people have completed the “Sudbury Survey” which will be used to help identify why people visit the town and what can be done to improve it.

The survey was organised by Gainsborough’s House and the Sudbury Town Team.

Sam Bawden, town team chairman, said: “We were extremely pleased with the response and the interest shown in helping us to identify priorities for the future of Sudbury.

“This survey helps to give us an insight into what people think of Sudbury and we are continuing to assess this so that full details of the survey can be made available shortly.”

Initial appraisal of the survey has confirmed one issue, brought up consistently, which was how to find out what events are happening in Sudbury.

The Tourist Information Centre based in Sudbury Library produce a monthly ‘What’s On’ guide which is available from the centre or can be emailed monthly or downloaded from the Sudbury Town Council website.

Sudbury Town Team are also producing a monthly article which is published in magazines and newsletters and can also be emailed.
