THERE will be an opportunity for collectors to find out the value of their prized possessions when a well-known TV antiques expert appears at the town’s Quay Theatre in a special presentation of What’s in Your Attic?.
Jonty Hearnden has appeared on Going For a Song with Michael Parkinson and the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow before presenting the BBC programme Cash in the Attic.
The evening at The Quay on June 23 is being hosted by BBC Radio presenter Paul Harris, and Jonty will share all his behind-the-scenes secrets, as well as taking questions from the audience.
“I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and am particularly interested in local antiques,” he said. “I’ll be delighted if someone can surprise me with something local that I’ve not seen before.”
Audiences will learn what items are most sought after, discover what things are really worth and find out where to buy and when to sell.
Ticket holders are invited to bring one small portable item for possible inclusion in the show and items will be selected two hours before the show.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01787 374745 priced at £16.
