Three people arrested on drug offences after vehicles stopped and searched in Sudbury
A series of arrests relating to drug offences in the Sudbury area took place last week, Sudbury Police has reported.
Officers seized a quantity of Class A and Class B drugs in Sudbury on Saturday, after they had cause to stop and search a vehicle containing two men.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested, while the passenger ran off when the vehicle was stopped, only to be detained two days later at another address, where a further quantity of cannabis was found.
Both men remain under investigation, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
On the same day, police pursued another vehicle in Sudbury, which they had tried to stop after observing an unusual manner of driving.
The vehicle eventually stopped in Great Cornard, and the driver attempted to run off, but he was detained, while a search uncovered a quantity of Class A drugs.
A 23-year-old man from Great Waldingfield remains under investigation for possession of a Class A drug and driving whilst under the influence.
Elsewhere, in Long Melford, a 19-year-old man was cautioned, after he was found to be in possession of cannabis following a stop-check by police.
