Three men arrested after vehicle crimes in the area

Police have arrested three men in connection with a number of vehicle crimes in Sudbury, Glemsford, Long Melford and Lavenham overnight.

Officers have taken a number of reports of vehicles being broken into and are investigating these crimes, with many of the incidents involving tools being stolen from vehicles.

The three – a 29-year-old man from Ipswich, a 22-year-old man from Ipswich and a 20-year-old man from Sudbury – were arrested around midnight – 12.30am this morning, Friday 22 April, on suspicion of theft from motor vehicles and are currently in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where they are being interviewed by officers.

Police are urging drivers not to leave valuables in vehicles and to ensure cars and vans are left locked up with no items on view inside.
