Thousands raised in memory of Arran
A group of fundraisers have collected nearly £3,000 for charity after taking part in a sponsored walk.
The group took part in a walk on the Isle of Arran in memory of Arran Tosh who died from a brain tumour in June 2014.
Arran was named after the island and his mother Alison was one of those to take part, in total £2,804 being raised.
Mrs Tosh said: “We were hoping to get to £1,000 so we are so overwhelmed with this amount.
“Thank you to my fellow walkers Anne Everitt, Liz Foster, Vicky Gentry, Tom Gentry and Diana Pawsey.
“We had lots of laughs and supported each other throughout the week.”
The Smile of Arran charity has even been invited to have a stall at next years Arran Highland games.
This weekend Fat Face in Sudbury will be supporting The Smile of Arran.
Mrs Tosh will be in the store on Saturday afternoon with a few of the charity’s items, including its new Christmas cards, designed by Ian Beck.
