Thief steals more than £2,000 from Royal British Legion in Lavenham following overnight break-in




More than £2,000 in cash was stolen from Lavenham’s Royal British Legion branch, following an overnight break-in which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.

A thief broke in through the back door of the club, located off High Street, between 9.40pm on Sunday and 1.20pm on Monday.

They subsequently smashed open gaming machines and two safes to steal the cash.

Anyone who witnessed the break-in, or has any information about the incident, should call police by telephoning 101, quoting the crime reference number 37/75886/19.
