VILLAGERS turned out in force to enjoy all the fun of a summer fair held in the vicarage gardens of St Peter and St Paul Church in Clare.
At the end of the day, more than £1,300 had been raised towards church funds.
Stallholder James Standen said: “We were praying for hot weather and we actually got it – and it made for a good day.
“All the stalls were very busy and there was a good balance of things to do and see. All in all, it was a very good day.”
With attractions on sale ranging from plants, jewellery and homemade cakes, the fair attracted scores of visitors.
FUN: Polly James, seven, had butterflies painted on her face.
