Teenager suffers life-threatening injuries after serious collision on A134 Nayland Road
A teenager was seriously injured, while five others were arrested, after a serious road traffic collision occurred overnight on the A134.
Emergency services were called out at approximately 2.30am this morning, following reports that a silver Volkswagen Golf, which is believed to have been travelling from the direction of Leavenheath, crashed in Nayland Road.
A road closure was instituted on Nayland Road, from the junction between Boxted Church Road and Tog Lane, to the junction of London Road, for several hours, as a crash investigation took place, and paramedics treated a teenager, who had sustained life-threatening injuries.
Five other people aged between 13 and 18, who were all in the car at the time of the crash, were later arrested by Essex Police, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop and failing to report a collision.
Officers would now like to hear from anybody who may have information about the collision, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the incident.
If you can help, call 101, quoting the incident number 61 of January 29, 2019.
