A teenager suffered chest and leg injuries following a serious road traffic collision in Great Cornard last night.

A volunteer critical care team from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) was mobilised to the incident just after 9pm when a car was involved in a collision with a motorcycle.

The SARS team, working with paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service, assessed and treated the motorcyclist who had suffered chest and leg injuries.

A male patient in his teens was later taken by land ambulance to the West Suffolk Hospital.
