Supermarket worker shaves for charity
A staff member at Tesco in Sudbury said goodbye to his much loved beard over the Christmas holidays in aid of charity.
On December 18, fellow staff and customers took great joy in watching Chris Curran have his beard shaved off to raise money.
Ricky Brooks from Mr Barbers in Sudbury donated his services for the shave.
Mel Edwards, community champion at the store, said: “Our staff at Tesco were all very aware of how much Chris loved his beard but gave generously to our store charities Diabetes UK and British heart foundation, to see it removed.”
So far the event has raised nearly £700 for the two charities.
