AN appeal for photographs and memorabilia about Sudbury Upper School has gone out this week to help celebrate the school’s 40th anniversary.

The school – which is hoping to become an academy school under the auspices of the Ormiston Academies Trust, with a new headteacher, Caroline Wilson, joining later this year – opened its doors for the first time in September, 1972.

Spokeswoman Pip Mackay said: “We would like to hold a small exhibition commemorating 40 years at the school at the end of term.

“If you have any memorabilia, photos, stories or anecdotes that you would like to share, can you get in touch.”
