A Sudbury charity which raises money for adults with learning disabilities is calling for new committee members.
Helping Hands, which supports people at the Sudbury Community Hub, wants to replace six members who are stepping down this year.
Jack Owen, group chairman, said: “Due to age and other commitments a number of our committee members are stepping down this year, which will leave us very short. It is important we replace at least some of these people as a matter of urgency to enable us to remain operational in the longer term.”
The charity, which has been running since 1974, is holding its AGM on Wednesday, May 8 at Sudbury Community Hub, on Chilton Industrial Estate, at 7pm. Members of the public and anyone interested in volunteering are welcome.
