AN exhibition to mark the 65th birthday of celebrated bird artist Terance James Bond opens at the Wildlife Gallery in Lavenham on September 25.
The stunningly detailed and realistic paintings on show include some of the best-loved British species like the tawny owl, goldfinch, robin and kingfisher.
But there is also room for less exotic birds like the house sparrow, which has a special place in Terry’s heart.
Keen buyers have already reserved half of the 37 pictures, some of which have taken up to four months to complete.
The exhibition also sees the launch of his book, A Bond with Birds.
Only 1,000 copies of the limited edition book, which tells his life story illustrated with examples of his work, have been printed.
It will be on sale at the gallery priced £25 or can be ordered by post for an extra £5 by calling 01787 248562 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Terry will be signing copies at the gallery on September 25.
The show continues until October 16. Opening hours are from 10am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 2pm to 4.30pm on Sundays.
