Students sample world of work with careers day at Delphi Centre in Sudbury

Dozens of organisations gathered to shed light on potential career opportunities for students at a public event in Sudbury last week.

A careers day, which took place at the Delphi Centre in Newton Road, was organised by Michael Heyland, of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce.

A total of 36 different local and national organisations set up stalls for the event, while catering was provided by The Bridge Project and volunteers organised parking and the collection of tables.

Mr Heyland said: “The event, jointly created by both Thomas Gainsborough School and Ormiston Sudbury Academy with the chamber of commerce, was a great success.”
