Street hit by downfall in trade after fire unites to hold charity event
Friars Street in Sudbury is to turn pink tomorrow to raise funds for ‘Wear it Pink’ day as part of breast cancer awareness.
Organised by staff at Amor Interiors, a number of shops and cafés on the street are taking part with a raffle organised and canapés and champagne being offered at the interior designers.
Laura Hill, junior interior designer at Amor, said: “After the fire the whole street has been pretty low.
“We thought lets do it and work together.”
Amor interiors will be raffling off a handmade stool, White Diamond beauty salon is raffling a beauty treatment, the Rude strawberry has offered a cream tea for two as part of the draw, Health food for you is giving away an organic goodie bag, Shear Genius is raffling of an Diamond Shine treatment, cut and style, the Secret Garden also has an afternoon tea for two to give away, while Javelin is raffling off a designer bag.
The draw for the raffle will take place on Monday.
