A hotel has been given permission to build a golf school in Stoke-by-Nayland with two classrooms and an indoor putting green.
Babergh District Council has approved the golf school – to be called the Lee Westwood Golf Academy – at the Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa, which has two championship 18-hole golf courses, in Keeper’s Lane, Leavenheath.
But the club has applied to make some amendments to the materials used in the construction of the golf academy. These are currently being considered by planners at the district council.
The school will be built next door to an existing driving range with a connecting door so the two buildings can be combined as one.
