Staff are in the pink for cancer charity weekend
Shop workers at Sudbury’s Tesco were tickled pink this week when they raised £3,400 for Cancer Research UK, by dressing up and decorating the store.
Organised by customer assistant Rachel Webb, the pink-days event at the store in Springlands Way last weekend beat the previous year’s amount by £400. Jamie Nichols, non-food manager, said: “The men dressed in pink tutus – I think they went to town even more than the girls! Most people can relate to this charity, so we had a lot of support.”
