Special hospital memories service for families who have lost children
A special service giving parents who have lost children the chance to come together, share memories and offer comfort will be held at West Suffolk Hospital.
The service of remembering and sharing will take place in the hospital chapel at 3pm on Sunday 8 May. It is open to everyone who has lost a child, whatever their age.
Rev Lorraine Dawson, chaplain at the hospital, said: “Grief is part of the cost of having loved. The service will enable those who have lost a child to share their grief together before God and with others who bear something of that cost.
“It will be a time to remember and give thanks for the children that we cannot forget and whose lives will always be special and precious.”
Crèche facilities will also be available during the afternoon, while light refreshments will also be provided.
