Snakes alive! Children have fun at their school fete

Nayland Primary School had a very popular attraction at its annual summer fete this year - an animal-holding session including getting close up to guinea pigs, tortoises, a snake, rabbits and a bearded dragon lizard.

Children who took part were Archie Christie who held a gecko, Rudy O’Sullivan, George and Priya Brandreth who fed rabbits, Annabel Hitchcock who held a lizard, and Charlie Walder, Freddie Adams, Alfie Eldridge and Joseph McCrory who held reptiles.

Drina May from Nayland Primary School said: “It was a beautiful, sunny and very successful day. We raised the highest total so far of £2,200.

“A brand new activity this year was a human football table, which was great fun,” she added.
