Celebrating its 125th year Long Melford Silver Band is holding its annual Christmas Concert on December 16.
Held at Long Melford Village Hall at 7.30pm, entrance is free with a retiring collection in aid of the development of the band’s youth members who are given free tuition, use of instruments, uniforms and music.
Currently six children between the ages of nine and 11 are being taught.
The rest of the money raised by the band during the festive season will be split between the main band fund and the National Autistic Society, the band’s chosen charity for 2015.
Tea, coffee, squash and mince pies will be provided during the interval.
