THE discovery of a man who is thought to have hanged himself from a tree at a Sudbury beauty spot has shocked those living nearby.
Jonathan Burroughs, from St Gregory’s Court, Sudbury, was found at The Weir near Croft Gates shortly before 6am on Monday.
Paramedics were called but were unable to save the 26-year-old. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family – parents David and Glynis and younger sister Rachel, 18 – said Mr Burroughs loved live music, mountain biking, photography and enjoyed canoeing along the River Stour.
An initial inquest into Mr Burroughs’ death was held yesterday. A full hearing will be held later in the year.
