MEMBERS of Hadleigh Sea Scouts are calling for costume assistance as they prepare to perform in a play depicting life during the Second World War.
The Scouts will be putting their acting skills to the test at Scout HQ in Layham Road for the play, Biggles Scouts About, from October 22 to 25, but need RAF and Luftwaffe uniforms that can be loaned to help with the production.
Lucy Barnett, who is co-ordinating the show, said: “We will happily swap tickets for the loan of costumes we can use.
“Getting the real deal will help the youngsters get into their characters, the atmosphere and the culture of the 1940s.”
Mrs Barnett added that jackets, caps, flying helmets, belts and trousers were all needed and that the cast of 10 to 16-year-olds would be performing at Flixton Air Museum near Bungay on October 29.
Tickets for the play are available for £5 from Partridges Farm Shop in Hadleigh, the air museum shop or by calling 07545 545744.
