From sweet to savoury, sponges to pastries students at a Sudbury charity will be showcasing their culinary skills next week.
The Bridge Project in Gainsborough Street is holding a Great Big Courtyard Bake-Off on Wednesday.
Amateur student bakers from the charity, which assists disadvantaged adults by providing vocational training, education and employment opportunities will be competing against one another and anyone is welcome to go along and judge.
Anesta Newson, chief executive of charity, which was set up in 1995, said she was looking forward to the event with great anticipation.
“It is going to be a lovely summer event,” she said. “Set in the open courtyard of the charity, where the garden is blooming and people can have a relaxing cup of tea and cake. It is another chance to show what our wonderfully hard working students can do.”
The bake-off takes place from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, with an entry donation of £2.50.
