Have you ever wanted to have a go at making sausages? Well this year’s Taste of Sudbury Food & Drink Festival is your chance.
Members of the audience will be chosen to come up on stage at the festival on June 12, with the winner of the best sausages winning two tickets to see the Sounds of Simon, the popular Simon and Garfunkel Tribute at The Quay Theatre on June 18.
The sausage making competition is just one of a number of events taking place throughout the festival.
You can pick up a free festival brochure at the Tourist Information Centre in Sudbury Library or download it from www.seeanddosudbury.co.uk.
The brochure gives full details of all the exhibitors who will be filling the centre of Sudbury and St Peter’s with a wide range of food and drink from 10am to 4pm.
The event will see cooking demonstrations, a Guinness World Record attempt, the annual omelette Challenge plus lots more.
New for 2016 is the Jam Tartz Pop Up Restaurant where you will have a five-course food and drink taster menu for £25 per person.
Booking in advance is essential. To book call 01787 311556 or you can book a seat at the Tourist Information Centre.
The pop up restaurant will be set out as a street party to join in with the Queen’s 90th Birthday street parties which will be held across the country on the same day.
The festival is free to attend. There will be free park and ride available from the Delphi Car Park in Newton Road every 15 minutes.
