There were scores of Santas on the River Stour on Saturday, the red cloaked figures seen paddling down the river.
The inaugural Santa’s Paddle ’N’ Pub was organised by Sudbury’s Outdoor Hire Centre to help raise money for The Bridge Project.
The event saw participants dressed in a range of festive costumes, paddling to the Henny Swan for lunch and back up to the Rare Cow.
“The main aim is for everyone to have a really enjoyable time, but the event is also a great opportunity to do something for a charity that does so much for Sudbury,” said Gordon Hardy, managing director of the hire company.
It is hoped it will now become an annual event.
