Safe and till stolen after break-in at Angel Hotel in Lavenham

A safe and a till containing cash were stolen during an overnight burglary at a hotel in Lavenham this week.

Suffolk Police was called out to the Angel Hotel in Market Place on Monday morning, following reports that a break-in had occurred between 11pm on Sunday and 7.30am on Monday.

During this time period, a number of offenders forced open a window to gain entry into the premises, before making off with a safe and a till. The amount of money stolen has not been specified.

Anybody who witnessed the burglary or who has any information about what happened should contact police on 101, quoting the incident reference code CAD 72 of May 27, 2019.
