Rock comedy musical proves a hit for school

Hadleigh High School pupils staged a successful production of the American rock comedy musical Little Shop of Horrors last week entertaining parents, family and friends with their energetic performances.

As well as three nightly shows, the schoolchildren also put on a special performance for the town’s primary pupils.

The musical is about an orphan taken in by the owner of a rundown florist shop who discovers a strange plant which grows and grows.

Produced by Jane Reader and James Day, the musical is part of the school’s yearly drama productions which take place in February.
