Firefighters have doused the fire at a chemical warehouse in Hadleigh and all businesses, with the exception of Challs International, have been reopened and road closures have been lifted.
Seventy firefighters from 12 crews tackled the fire at Lady Lane industrial estate in Hadleigh this morning.
Crews were called at 5.50am to the estate which includes Challs International, a household cleaning product factory, and the area has since been sealed off.
Residents warned to close all windows and doors because of the danger of chemicals in the smoke.
The ceiling of one of the buildings collapsed and a neighbouring property was evacuated.
Police are not treating the blaze as suspicious but investigations are ongoing.
