A mechanic and classic car restorer has offered a £2,000 reward for the return of his pride and joy.

Dean Lee, from Colne Road in Bures, spent a year working on his treasured 1993 long wheel base Land Rover, before it was stolen on January 6.

“I felt pretty sick,” he said. “I built it how I wanted it for myself and spent a lot of money and time on it.”

Although he values it at close to £10,000, he said it is worth little to anybody else.

The 50-year-old said he would be overjoyed if it was returned.

The vehicle is a distinctive bright red with a white roof and sides.

If you have any information on the theft, call Suffolk Police on 101.
