A ROTARY art exhibition – held to raise funds for a number of charities – has been praised for its quality after hundreds of people visited the event.
The Sudbury Talbot Rotary Club’s art show and sale at St Peter’s in Sudbury featured more than 200 works of art.
Rotarian Pennie Oglesby said the annual event, which took place for the sixth time, was one of the best to date.
“We had a steady flow of people over the weekend and the weather was in our favour with lots of people out and about,” she said.
“That helped us get off to a good start and there was a very high quality of work this year with lots of variety.”
Mrs Oglesby added that she had been particularly impressed with the standard of photographs on display and said there had been a number of sales throughout the event.
Money raised will go to charities supported by the Rotary Club, including St Nicholas Hospice Care, Shelter Box and the St Peter’s fund.
