A party was recently held for Sudbury volunteer Derek Hurrell who has retired after more than 20 years of service.
Mr Hurrell is one of the founder trustees of the Christopher Centre in Sudbury and is retiring after two decades of loyal service and support to the not-for-profit organisation. A retirement lunch was held for him last Wednesday, attended by staff and trustees, town councillors and Sudbury mayor Sue Ayres.
The Christopher Centre opened in 1994 and is dedicated to the promotion and support of local voluntary and community activities. Groups can hire or lease rooms and offices in the building located in Gainsborough Street.
