STAFF and students at Hadleigh High School were celebrating this week after receiving a good Ofsted report.
Headteacher Caroline Gibson was singled out for praise for her “unshakeable focus on high achievement”, while the school’s inspection team said the culture of the academy school had been “transformed” in just over two years, with staff and students fully involved in its development.
The school in Highlands Road has 780 pupils and specialises in science. It became an academy last year.
Mrs Gibson said: “I am pleased that the inspectors have identified that we have a relentless focus on further improving our practice, and that we expect the very best from and for our pupils.
“As a school, we encourage our pupils to develop the social skills which will enable them to be valued members of any team. We are delighted with the report.”
The inspection team, which graded the school good in all categories, noted that pupils value the support that they receive from staff, particularly extra-curricular activities.
