Police investigating a reported rape in Hadleigh are renewing appeals for anyone in the area between around 11pm and midnight last Thursday to come forward.

Officers have been working with a woman in her 20s - who knocked at the door of a home in Angel Street around 11.35pm on Thursday, June 23, reporting she had been attacked - to determine what happened.

The Spooners Lane area has been identified as the possible location for where the incident occurred and police are renewing appeals for anyone who may have been in this area to come forward.

It’s now known the incident would have occurred between around 11.20pm and the time of the call to police at 11.35pm and officers would like to speak to anyone who was out in this vicinity at any point between 11pm and midnight as you may have information that can assist, even if you think you didn’t see anything of use.

Enquiries are continuing and officers would also like to speak to anyone who saw a man described as white, around 5ft 2ins tall, aged in his 20s, with dark hair, who was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, or anyone with information about who this may be.
