PAINTERS and sculptors are being encouraged to display their work at a Sudbury art exhibition as the closing date for entries approaches.
Sudbury Talbot Rotary Club’s sixth art exhibition and sale will take place at St Peter’s from June 4 to 8, but there is still time for artists to enter before the event’s deadline on May 22.
During last year’s exhibition, the club raised nearly £1,000 for its various projects, with £2,000 worth of art work sold.
Club secretary Sue Beven, who is also an artist and exhibitor, said: “We want to provide local artists with a showcase for their work, helping to bring them to a wider audience and hopefully attract buyers.
“We also hope to raise some much-needed funds to help us with our humanitarian aid projects and local charitable support.”
The exhibition will be open from 10pm to 5pm each day until the final day when it will close an hour earlier.
