Pupils rise to the challenge in apple baking competition
Students at Ormiston Sudbury Academy have showed-off their culinary skills during a cooking competition.
Year 8 pupils at the school produced a range of apple inspired treats during the contest organised during their food technology lesson on Wednesday.
Poppi Ennis-Hadley took the first prize for her crumble and won a hamper from Peake Fruit Limited in Boxford, which provided the apples.
Bonnie Ketley and Hannah Tatum came second and third and were each awarded a cook book, while Zak Bloxam-Metcalf, Alisha Randles, Lois Thomas, Ella Miles and Crystal Raymond also cooked up tasty treats. The competition was judged by Robert Rendell, managing director of Peake Farm, and Robert England, the farm manager.
