Premier Travel in Sudbury seeking unwanted items to donate to East Anglia's Children's Hopsices

A travel agency in Sudbury has pledged its support for a hospice fundraising campaign, by urging customers and local residents to donate their unwanted clothing and accessories.

Premier Travel is looking for items as part of the Bag It, Bring It, Boost It campaign run by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each), the company’s chosen charity for 2020.

Residents are urged to fill up a bag containing any of their unwanted possessions and bring them to the travel firm’s branch at the Borehamgate Precinct in King Street, which will then be distributed to be sold at Each charity shops across the region.

The money raised from the items sold will go towards the charity’s ongoing work to help children and young people with serious illnesses and their families.

Diane Buck, Premier Travel’s Sudbury branch manager, said: “East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices provides a lifeline for families at a difficult time

“That’s why we want to help support its Bag It, Bring It, Boost It campaign.

“Our customers are always very generous with our charity appeals and we hope this will inspire them to have a new year clean out while supporting a worthy cause.

“Clothing worth £5 could pay for art supplies in an art therapy session, while a prom dress worth £35 could pay for an hour of specialist care, so it all adds up.”
