Poppy Appeal supporters recognised
Volunteers were recognised at the Royal British Legion Sudbury and District Branch Poppy Appeal Awards at the Masonic Hall, Sudbury, on January 27.
Staff from the Co-op Funeral Service began the night by presenting a cheque to the appeal for £123.
Eighteen appeal awards were given to collectors for five years service, while Ormiston Sudbury Academy, which holds a festival of remembrance each year, was presented with a certificate of appreciation and a branch pennant for its support.
Branch member Shirley Smith was presented with a branch certificate of appreciation for her work, including donating her share from the book No Glorious Dead, amounting to £6,377.
