Police treating sudden death in Sudbury as ‘unexplained’

The sudden death of a man in Jameson Place, Sudbury is being treated as unexplained by police.

Officers received a call from the ambulance service at 10.20am on Monday morning following the sudden death of a man.

A spokeswoman for East of England Ambulance Service Trust said an ambulance attended and treated a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man died at scene,” she said.

At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.

A file will be passed to the coroner in advance of the opening of an inquest.
