Police investigating alleged abusive behaviour by player during AFC Sudbury home game

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident of abusive behaviour at an AFC Sudbury match at the weekend.

Officers were called by the club at 4.30pm on Saturday February 27 reporting that there had been an incident during the game against Redbridge at the ground in Brundon Lane.

A player is alleged to have directed abusive behaviour towards some spectators as he was leaving the pitch. Police are keen to hear from anyone who was either a target of this behaviour or who may have witnessed it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Babergh Neighbourhood Response Team on 101 quoting CAD 258 of 27 February.
