A man was found unconscious with serious injuries in Sudbury yesterday morning, with police appealing for witnesses to determine what happened.

The man, who is thought to be aged in his 30s, was discovered outside the Sudbury Community Hub, on the Chilton Industrial Estate in Northern Road, at approximately 6.10am.

He was subsequently transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he is currently in a serious condition.

He is described as being white, of medium build, with very short receding dark hair and a full dark beard, and he was wearing a white t-shirt, black skinny jeans and black Adidas trainers.

Suffolk Police has launched an investigation into how the man suffered his injuries, and officers have urged anybody who may have seen him to come forward.

They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of the Chilton Industrial Estate between 6pm on Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday, or who has dashboard camera footage of the area during this time period.

If you can help investigators, contact West CID by calling 101, quoting the incident reference code CAD 26 of May 15, 2019.

Alternatively, telephone the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555111.
