A number of items were stolen during a burglary at a property in Hitcham, prompting an appeal for witnesses.

The owner returned home to the property in Wattisham Road on Wednesday, March 27, at around 9.50pm, and found one of the living room windows smashed, while an adjacent window was left open.

On further inspection, they found the intruders had ransacked the property, before stealing a Makita hammer drill, a Makita electric drill, an Accles and Shelvoke air pistol, a wallet and 12 keys.

Anyone with any information on the burglary should contact Bury St Edmunds CID on 101, or email matthew.egan@suffolk.pnn.police.uk, quoting crime reference 37/17394/19.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
