Sudbury schoolchildren gained an insight into Chinese culture on Tuesday, as they helped to bring in the Chinese New Year.
Pupils at Tudor Primary School learned about how their counterparts in China marked the new year, including the cuisine, clothing and the traditional story of The Great Race.
They then built large dragons out of recycled materials and paraded them around the school.
Emma Ince, deputy headteacher, said: “Tudor children were excited to find out about the children that celebrate Chinese New Year.
“It is important even for young children to learn about the different traditions in other cultures.
“Building the dragons was very exciting, with children keen to bring their mums and dads into class to show them their creations.”
