PICTURES: Magic Weekend delivers moments of wonder to Kentwell Hall in Long Melford
Kentwell Hall was filled with magic and wonder at the weekend, as families flocked to Long Melford for the return of a popular annual event.
The Tudor site hosted its Magic Weekend across Saturday and Sunday, with around 600 visitors enjoying activities such as sorcery, alchemy and a fantasy-themed hunt, led by costumed guides dressed as conjurers and pixies.
Organiser Patrick Phillips said that, while attendance was only two-thirds of its expected total, citing people’s continued reluctance to venture outside due to coronavirus, the overall feedback was very positive.
“The response we had from the public, particularly in terms of the measures we took to keep everybody safe, was very favourable indeed,” Mr Phillips told the Free Press.
“There was no question that everything we were doing was well received.”
