Pedestrian who died in collision near Nowton Park is named by police

A man who died following a serious road traffic collision in Nowton on Monday has been named as 55-year-old David Hunt from Bury St Edmunds.

Police officers were called at 8am on January 11 to reports of a collision between a Honda Civic and a pedestrian in Bury Road, near the entrance to Nowton Park.

Mr Hunt died at the scene of the collision.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 41 of January 11.
