Paw-fect day as hundreds of visitors enjoy dog day

The organiser of a dog day event – held in St Peter’s in Sudbury to raise money for the redundant church – said she hopes to hold it again next year.

Mary Roberts said between 500 and 600 people attaended Saturday’s event.

“It was brilliant – absolutely wonderful,” she said. “I’ve had lots of positive feedback with the exhibitors keen to do it again next year.”

There were stalls by pet charities, veterinary surgeries, dog behaviourists, trainers and dog groomers.
