Staff and pupils past and present celebrated the 50th anniversary of Pot Kiln Primary School with a big party.

Students dressed up in their best 60s outfits while kids and grown ups all enjoyed the inflatables and a barbecue in the afternoon.

Headteacher Toni Davis said: “What a success. The sense of community was fantastic. So many people came.

“Our guests stayed a long while and were totally immersed in the school and their memories.”

She described the visit of the school’s first headteacher John Colleer as “magical”.
