Parades and services of remembrance will be taking place across the region on Sunday to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts.

The Long Melford parade is one of the longest in the county, and starts from Chemist Lane at 10.15am.

Among the procession will be a full Colonel from USAF Lakenheath and the Lakenheath Honor Guard.

RAF Wattisham is also represented by a contingent from 4 Regiment Army Air Corps, while Sudbury Air Training Corps and Army Cadets will also be on Parade.

In Sudbury the parade will leave Market Hill at 2pm, marching to St Gregory’s Church for a service to follow.

This will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony.
