After Ballingdon held its first fete in living memory last autumn, organisers have confirmed the fundraising event will return again later this year.

The organising committee have announced that this year’s event will take place on Sunday, September 8, and will raise money for three different charities.

Half of the proceeds will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, while Newstalk and the Eden Rose Coppice will each receive 25 per cent of the donations.

Fete chairman Andy Message said: “Last year was a great event, really pulling the local community together in aid of a good cause.

“We hope this year’s event will prove just as popular and enable us to raise a good amount of money for local causes again.”

The fete will include the return of the popular toy sheep throwing contest, a dog show and games for all the family.
