Long Melford’s original railway station sign has been returned to the village - after an absence of around 50 years.

A chance discovery that the sign was up for sale on the auction site eBay, resulted in a trip to Saffron Walden to purchase the sign which is now on display at the village’s heritage centre in Chemist Lane.
