A SUDBURY nursery has been represented at the world’s largest ever skills and careers event.
Donna Row and Louise Coll, from Yorley Barn Nursery in Little Cornard, attended WorldSkills London 2011, last week.
The event saw young people from 51 nations compete in various educational skills tests, with around 200,000 visitors given the chance to meet top employers, trainers, specialist careers advisors and educational experts.
Yorley Barn was represented at the event to promote the new Buster hand hygiene packs for young children.
Donna Row, owner of the nursery, which was recently rated as “outstanding” by Ofsted, said: “It was a real honour to be asked to take part in such a prestigious event, which is quite a coup for a little country nursery.
“We have been working as educational consultants on the Buster project, which was revealed for the first time at the event and was fantastically well received by teachers and children alike.”
The Buster packs use cartoon characters to take children on a fun, educational journey about the importance of hand hygiene and were developed by Sudbury company the DaRo Group.
